Kyle McQuillian
Co-founder/Operations Manager
Kyle McQuillian (to many “the Hillbilly) was born in Brooke County, WV and graduated from Ravenswood High School. After highschool, he worked in various job functions while serving a local Scoutmaster in Boy Scouts.
Notable jobs held by Kyle during his career include Butcher Shop Head, Apartment Grounds and Maintenance Lead and Operations Associate at Lonza Biologics in NH where he and Jay met. Kyle became Jay’s brother-in-law and business partner in 2019 and currently resides in Broadway, VA.
Kyle says that he’s thankful for his “hillbilly ways” and has been throwing axes his whole life. Kyle was the visionary that expressed an interest to Jay, breathing live into Beards & Broads; three months after the conversation the doors of the first location opened!

Q: What are the values that drive you?
A: I’m very creative, determined, and adaptive.
Q: What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
A: I enjoy drawing, woodworking, and spending time with my family.
Q: Tell me one of your pet peeves.
A: I extremely dislike littering

A: I’m very artistic

We are an official WATL Axe Throwing venue located in Harrisonburg, VA. We take walk-ins, private parties and we also rent out the facility for large groups and corporate events.
